The third earthquake to hit Mexico on Saturday, September 23, 2017, sent residents of Mexico City into the streets in the morning - some half dressed  - in new fears for their lives. The brethren of the Holy Trinity Monastery are unharmed, but the level of stress all over the country is extremely high.
Schema archimandrite Nektariy - abbot of the Holy Trinity Monastery (ROCOR) in Mexico City - saw two people die of heart attacks in the streets following the third quake.
"People are breaking into tears, having nervous breakdowns," - he texted on Sunday.

"Whe we heard the [earthquake] alarm, hysterically we all ran to the streets from wherever we were. Many were half naked due to be found still in their beds. No victims, we survived it. but we are n ow even more fearful.Three major earthquakes in only fifteen days!!! If this continues along with the rain, many already damaged buildings will collapse on top of many people. Lord, have mercy on us!!! Keep praying for Mexico!"

Being a Medical Doctor, Fr. Nektariy has been extremely busy helping people on the streets.  He is very difficult to get hold of at the moment - more details will be published as we gather them.

Please donate now to help our brothers and sisters in Mexico!
