Reader Urbain’s motto in life has always been: “Just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise” (Luke 6:31).

Since he became Orthodox in 2001, he has devoted his life to the Lord, His Church, and his family. Urbain and his wife raise two of his nephews in addition to their own two daughters, tithe to their parish in Jacmel, and share with those less fortunate than them.

Reader Urbain is a farmer. He raises crops and livestock, and pays the kids’ school fees out of the profit.

But then came Hurricane Matthew… and completely demolished his livelihood.

“All my fields and all three of my animals have been destroyed. I cannot pay this year’s school fees. Even getting food for the family is difficult. I am completely ruined. I have no hope.”

Almost half of the Orthodox faithful are in the same situation.

Please donate to help our suffering Orthodox brothers and sisters in Haiti!
