New York - Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY, is in the middle of a severe financial crisis. Most of its infrastructure is extremely old and requires urgent repairs. Since October of 2012 the Fund for Assistance to ROCOR has been collecting funds to help the monastery. To date, over $182,000 has been collected.
When the last check for $35,000 arrived, FFA received a TY note from monastery treasurer Hieromonk Theophylact, addressed to FFA president Mark Selawry:
“We thank you very much for this, and in general, all the work you and the Fund have done to help us in our effort to maintain and improve the monastery's infrastructure. As you know, these donations will free up capital we have in order to make some very needed repairs.
God bless you and all the members of the administration of the Fund for Assistance, and may you continue to enjoy great Paschal joy now and throughout the season.
You continue to be in our prayers,
Fr. Theophylact”
