In these joyous days, we ask you to consider how much Christ’s Holy Church means to us, and how difficult it would be to greet Pascha without being able to attend services in one’s home parish.
This was the situation once faced by our ancestors, who sought to escape the Communist regime in Russia. Through endless tribulations and tears they founded their new parishes where we pray today; they donated their last pennies to their dearly beloved Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia and, thanks to them, today there is a Russian parish in nearly every state.
Today, the task of helping the Russian Church Abroad lies with all of us. Our Fund for Assistance to the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia was founded 53 years ago to aid in raising money for the Church. With your help, the Fund has been assisting our Church for over half a century, caring for our clergy in need, our Orthodox youth, and members of the Church who are facing trying circumstances.
Even a small donation is capable of bringing comfort to the suffering and those in need of material and spiritual support: the poor clergy of our Church and Orthodox victims of natural disasters in Mexico and Haiti, as well as youth seeking an Orthodox identity. In the name of the Feast of Feasts, we ask you support the Fund for Assistance so that together we continue to aid our Church!
Thanks to your generous support, their Pascha this year will be even more joyous for all those we support. Donors can rest assured knowing that every penny of their donation will be committed to its intended cause!
