New York - With support from  the Fund for Assistance to the Russian Church Abroad Deacon Andrei Psarev, instructor of canon law at Holy Trinity Orthodox Seminary, attended the only international congress on eastern ecclesiastical law organized by the Society for The Law of Eastern Churches at Vienna University, Austria.

The main focus of this thought provoking conference was Orthodox diaspora. This congress was held in Athens under the auspices of the Church of Greece. Participants included Dr. Spyros Troianos, Archpriest  Dr. Vladislav Tsypin, Dr. Constantine Pitsakis, and Dr. Lewis Patsavos. The support of the Fund for Assistance to the Russian Church Abroad enabled Deacon Andrei Psarev to meet with colleagues, inform them about his research on Canon 15 of the First and Second Council (861), and answer their questions about the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia.
