FFA appoints new executive director
New York - Mark Selawry was appointed by the Board as Executive Director of the Fund for Assistance, effective August 1st, 2011. He has been an FFA Board Member for several years. He replaced V.Rev.Victor Potapov who retired from the position but is staying on with the fund as Board member.
In his "normal life", Mark has been an international business leader, C-level executive and Harvard MBA with 20 years of experience in senior management roles in Sales, Marketing, Distribution, Business Development and Sourcing with blue chip multinationals including Thomas Cook, Hilton, and Disney, among others. Since 1991, he has lived and worked abroad is such countries as Switzerland, Russia, Sweden, France, Denmark and the UK.
Mark’s late aunt Alla Sergeevna Selawry was influential in developing Russian Orthodox theology. Included in her publications is a book on the Filokalia, on Prayer in the Heart, and a biography of St John of Kronstadt. Mark is working to complete her latest book On the Psychology of Sin.
